2009 H1N1 Vaccine Updates

2009 H1N1 Vaccine Availability

Based on the state of Georgia's latest recommendations, we are making the 2009 H1N1 vaccine available to all patients without medical contraindications. Keep in mind that the following high-risk groups, in particular, should be vaccinated:

  • Pregnant women
  • People who live with or care for children younger than 6 months of age
  • Health care and emergency medical services personnel
  • Persons between the ages of 6 months through 24 years of age
  • People ages 25 through 64 years at higher risk for 2009 H1N1 because of:

- Weakened immune systems due to diseases such as HIV, transplantation, cancer or medications, such as chronic corticosteroid or immunosuppressive use
- Diabetes mellitus and other metabolic disorders
- Neurological conditions, including stroke, seizures and cerebral palsy
- Chronic lung disease, including COPD, asthma or cystic fibrosis
- Heart disease, including coronary artery disease, CHF or congenital heart disease
- Liver disorders, kidney disorders or sickle cell disease

The 2009 H1N1 vaccine is available at a few of our clinic locations. The below clinic locations have a current supply of the 2009 H1N1 vaccine.
