At Emory, our breast health programs provide the best breast cancer treatment available. Successful breast cancer treatment is greatly enhanced by diagnosis and treatment in the earliest stages. Eight out of ten breast lumps are not cancerous, and a breast health regimen, that includes a mammogram, can successfully detect breast cancer up to two years before it can be felt with self-examination.

The comprehensive team of breast health specialists - including radiologists, medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, advanced practitioners, pharmacists, pathologists, geneticists, nurses and researchers - is committed to serving the needs of our patients, and we believe that every case is different. Meeting once a week, your breast cancer treatment team discusses patient cases and collectively develops an individualized treatment plan designed to produce the best possible outcomes.
