Children's Healthcare of Atlanta

For more than 50 years, Emory and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta have worked toward a shared vision and mission – to train the next generation of physicians and to provide high-quality medical care to children.

The Children's Healthcare of Atlanta system includes:

  • 3 hospitals (Children's at Egleston, Children's at Hughes Spalding and Children's at Scottish Rite)
  • 16 neighborhood locations around the metro-Atlanta area
  • Access to more than 1,400 pediatric physicians representing over 30 pediatric specialties.

Children's also serves as the pediatric physician clinical-training ground for the Emory University School of Medicine as well as its research partner. Many Emory pediatric physicians practice and conduct research at Children's.

In an ongoing pursuit to achieve the highest quality health care for Georgia’s children, Emory and Children's formed the Emory-Children's Center (ECC) in 2006, a jointly operated, nonprofit pediatric faculty group. The ECC provides extensive outpatient pediatric care to subspecialty patients at the offices on the Emory campus.

Jointly, Emory and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta are caring for the children of Georgia. Together, they are training the next generation of physicians. And in cooperation, they are conducting groundbreaking research for cures to some of the most perplexing childhood diseases.
