Reproductive Center Services

Over 20 years have passed since the first child was conceived through fertilization of a patient's egg outside of her body in a procedure called in vitro fertilization (IVF). Today, two decades of research and application of IVF, as well as many new breakthroughs have created an array of successful procedures that provide solutions to infertility.

Emory has been at the forefront in the field of reproductive medicine and offers the latest innovations in diagnostic analysis and fertility procedures. Our services include the following:

IN VITRO FERTILIZATION TREATMENT

In Vitro Fertilization Treatment: The IVF and embryo transfer procedure involves multiple steps, but at Emory, each patient's individual condition is evaluated for customized treatment and therapy.

Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) — The microscopic injection of an individual sperm into an individual egg.

Cryopreservation of Embryos — A freezing process that is used to store excess embryos that are generated in an IVF cycle.

Embryo Assisted Hatching — A method of improving the likelihood of an embryo attaching to the uterus.

Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) — Embryos are tested for genetic disorders before they enter the uterus (womb) and before pregnancy has started.

Egg Donor Program — An egg donation program for women with ovarian failure or who no longer produce viable eggs.

MEDICAL FERTILITY THERAPY

Medical Fertility Therapy: A variety of treatments to stimulate fertility including state of the art approaches to induction.

Ovulation Induction with Medication — The use of hormone therapy to stimulate egg development and release.

Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) — A method of placing sperm directly into the uterine cavity with the use of a catheter.

Treatments for Male Factor Infertility — This includes Epididymal and Testicular Sperm Aspiration, which are treatments for men with a low sperm production, as well as Therapeutic Donor Insemination.

ENDOCRINOLOGY and ANDROLOGY LABORATORY

Comprehensive Infertility Evaluation and Andrology Services: Diagnostic procedures to determine the source of infertility, including Endocrinology and Andrology (male reproductive) lab services such as Semen Analysis.

SURGICAL PROCEDURES

Surgical Procedures: Services include diagnostic and operative procedures for a range of gynecological problems including endometriosis and fibroids.

REPRODUCTIVE ENDOCRINOLOGY

Reproductive Endocrinology: Treatments for conditions such as ovarian cysts, fibroids, polycystic ovarian syndrome and repeated pregnancy loss.
