The Emory Spine Center provides a full range of easily accessible spine services for people of all ages, including children. Our services range from treating simple conditions such as herniated discs and low back or neck pain, to more complex problems such as spinal tumors, scoliosis, and spine fractures.
The majority of spine problems are best managed by non-operative techniques such as medication, home exercise programs, injections, physical therapy and comprehensive rehabilitation.
Our physiatrists (physicians trained in physical medicine and rehabilitation) specialize in the treatment of acute back and neck pain cases, many of which can be rapidly improved without surgery. In fact, over 90 percent of cases are resolved through non-operative treatments.
We exhaust all reasonable non-operative care before recommending surgery. However, if surgery is clearly indicated, the Spine Center has nationally recognized spine surgeons on staff qualified to perform the full spectrum of services, from surgery to relieve pressure on nerves and the spinal cord, to complex reconstructive procedures.
Directions: From I-85, exit at North Druid Hills Rd. and turn South (towards Decatur). Turn right at first light just pass I-85 into Executive Park, then take right on Executive Park South and we're one block on the right (59 Executive Park South).
