Several aspects of Emory's stroke team make it unique to the region. Teamwork There is no "I" in team. Nor is there one physician who is an expert in all areas of stroke care. But by combining their skills, the physicians on the Emory Stroke Team are able to provide patients individualized, expert care.
Experience The exceptional care we provide also stems from the exceptional expertise of our stroke team. Whereas some hospitals perform stroke-related procedures on a monthly or yearly basis, the physicians on the Emory Stroke Team perform them daily. Because we have so much firsthand experience treating stroke, patients who come to Emory have increased chances of a more accurate diagnosis and a successful outcome. Research In addition to treating stroke patients, our physicians are also involved with ongoing clinical research to uncover new ways of preventing and treating stroke.
