Frances Lee, MD

Dr. Frances Eun-Yun Lee is the director of the Asthma and Allergy Program at the Emory Clinic. She completed her undergraduate and medical training at Johns Hopkins University. She then completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center, followed by a Pulmonary and Critical Care fellowship at both Boston University and the University of Rochester. As a physician-scientist, her particular interests lie in understanding the immunology, particularly human plasma cell biology, of asthmatic and allergic disease. Clinically she focuses on the care of adults with moderate to severe asthma.

Dr. Shih is a physician and assistant professor in the Department of Medicine and the Department of Pediatrics at Emory University Hospital and Medical School. She practices Allergy and Immunology medicine at both the Emory Children's Center and The Emory Clinic (adult medicine clinics). She received her Doctor of Medicine Degree from Louisiana State University in New Orleans and was one of ten students selected for the accelerated medical school program. She subsequently completed residency and an Allergy and Immunology Fellowship at Emory University Hospital. She is Board certified in Internal Medicine and Allergy/Immunology.

Dr. Shih has conducted several presentations at national meetings in her field, her research interests including asthma, food allergies, transplant immunology and primary immunodeficiencies. She has lived in Atlanta for 5 years with her husband, twin daughters and dog. She enjoys spending time with her family, travelling and planning for her non-profit, which assists transplant patients.
