Mission Statement

The Transplant Services seeks to be a premier and compassionate network of integrated services for our customers, who are a variety of patients, employees, physicians, students, other departments, and the community.

To our patients, we wish to provide seamless and integrated transplant care, both structurally and professionally. As such, we shall provide excellence in Transplant Services in an environment that recognizes and adapts to each individual’s physical, spiritual, cultural, social, psychological, and emotional needs.

To our staff, we seek to be a participatory work place, where each employee feels respected, valued, and empowered (within limits) to perform in their respective roles in a manner that is competent, caring, respectful, professional, responsible, and accountable.

To our physicians, we seek to be a dependable, user-friendly and responsive environment, where care is guided by a collaborative philosophy and provided by practitioners who are competent and committed to excellence in communication, performance, and caring. This environment of care will be one that is cost-efficient and supported by the latest piercing point technology, human and physical resources.

Among our customers, we seek to achieve and maintain national prominence, as a Center of Excellence, where caring, quality, and cost are interdependent and conspicuously present in every aspect of the services we provide; in response to the needs of patients, family, staff, and the community.

With commitment to caring and respect for dignity of the human spirit, our service shall be distinguished by excellence in patient care. Through leadership and commitment to excellence, Transplant Services shall be empowered to achieve its co-equal missions of education, research, and practice within the context of a healing environment, which fully embraces patients, family, staff, and the community we serve.
