Pharmacy Residency Program

Emory Decatur Hospital’s post-graduate year one (PGY-1) pharmacy residency program builds on your Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education and establishes a foundation of clinical practice you can apply in various professional settings.

More than 50 PGY-1 pharmacy residents have trained at Emory Decatur Hospital since our program was certified by the American Society of Health System Pharmacists in 1989. Our residents have gone on to work at pharmacy and medical schools, acute and ambulatory care settings and clinical research labs. Some have completed post-graduate year two (PGY-2) pharmacy programs in fields such as oncology, pharmacotherapy, pharmacy informatics, critical care medicine and infectious diseases.
