Devon Gerald, a kidney transplant patient at Emory, describes his experience of growing up with kidney disease and needing a kidney transplant from Emory's Kidney Transplant Program. Devon looked for a living kidney donor and in stepped his aunt - Regina. She was healthy enough to donate but there was a problem - her blood type didn’t match Devon’s. That’s when Devon and Regina learned about something called the Kidney Paired Donor Exchange Program. Hear their story.
