Preparing for Your Bleeding Disorders Appointment

  • As a multidisciplinary clinic providing comprehensive care, your visit may take 2- 4 hours. 
  • Please call 404-778-7062 to confirm your appointment at least 24 hours prior to your visit. 
  • Notify the office of any change to your insurance coverage, phone numbers or mailing address. 
  • Obtain any referrals required by your insurance several days prior to your appointment date. 
  • Bring a copy of your insurance card. 
  • Bring or write down the medications you are currently taking and the dosage. 
  • Bring your treatment calendars (bleed logs) and any other health information that you want to share. 
  • Write down your health goals and questions you may have for the bleeding disorders team.

    • Any bleeding disorder question or related health concern. 
    • Questions regarding your appointment. 
    • Changes to your insurance coverage, telephone numbers, email or home mailing address prior to your visit.
    • Contact us using the Emory online patient portal “MyChart."

We encourage you to arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time.

Other Important Appointment Information:

  • Parking validation is available for all patients using the Emory Midtown self-parking deck (valet parking cannot be validated).
  • If you arrive more than 30 minutes past your appointment time, your visit may be delayed or rescheduled.
  • Please call 404-778-7062 if you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment.
    • A missed appointment may result in an interruption to your prescription for home treatment products.
  • Please be aware of your insurance coverage benefits prior to your clinic visit.  Please contact your insurance company if you have questions regarding your specific policy details.
  • Please be prepared to pay your co-pay/co-insurance at the time of service.
  • If you would like a record of your visit sent to another physician, be prepared to share that physician’s contact information.
