Emory Healthcare is committed to providing the highest quality of care. Our interpreter services provide medical interpretation and translation of documents. We believe every patient and family member has the right to be able to communicate easily with members of their medical care team. If you are deaf, hard of hearing, or a non-English speaking patient or family member, we provide free access to several types of interpreter services.
Document Translation
Emory Healthcare offers written translation of medical documents including the following: Consent forms, research and treatment protocols, patient information, medical letters, diagnostic studies and other documents used by health care professionals.
Video Remote Interpreting (VRI)
Cyracom Language Services offers American Sign Language interpreters available on demand 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
The direct TTY number for Emory Healthcare is 404-686-3417. TTY machines are available for on-site use in the main lobby of Emory University Hospital, the Linden Street lobby at Emory University Hospital Midtown, and in the security office at Wesley Woods Hospital (call0 to access).
Telephonic interpretation
Telephonic interpreters for over 200 languages are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
On-site interpretation
Spanish on-site interpreters are available at Emory University Hospital Clifton Campus and Emory University Hospital Midtown Monday-Friday 5:30 a.m. - 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
On-site interpreters for other languages can be requested with 24-hour advance notice. Please call our office at 404-727-3648 Monday through Friday 5:30 a.m. - 8 p.m.
