We recently celebrated 50 years of service to the community and, through those years, our physicians have been responsible for some of the most significant innovations and treatments in health care, including over 250 heart transplants.

The Emory University School of Medicine is the academic foundation and partner of the Emory Healthcare system. The Emory Transplant Center is known globally for innovations in the field. The transplant centers specialize in heart, islets, lung, liver, pancreas and kidney transplants.

Patients may be admitted to an Emory Healthcare hospital by either consulting with their current physician or seeing an Emory Clinic physician or physicians on the Emory University Hospital Midtown campus. These physicians all have admitting privileges to Emory University Hospital Midtown and Emory University Hospital, both ranked in the top 5 nationally by the University HealthSystem Consortium.
