Free CE Course – We Can Change This: The Nurse's Role in Maternal Mortality
The issue of maternal morbidity and mortality is so dire, almost every 2020 Democratic candidate sees it as a public health crisis. So why are such a high percentage of US women dying before, during, or soon after childbirth?
This complimentary course, led by Specialty Director of Women & Infant Services at Emory Decatur Hospital, Rose L. Horton, MSM, RN, NEA-BC, takes a fascinating look at the history of maternal morbidity and mortality and the successful initiatives that are being employed to mitigate this worrisome trend.
After the course, we’d like you to join us for a tour of Emory Decatur Hospital – the first hospital in the state of Georgia to obtain Baby-Friendly designation. Please plan to participate in the postpartum hemorrhage simulation as well.
